Darts Thailand's Invitation

If you're a darter traveling to Thailand by all means pack your darts. All major tourist destinations have active darts leagues that welcome tourists on holiday. In Bangkok we have Tuesday's LSDL (Lower Sukhumvit Darts League) a fun league open to all beginners to moderate level players. Thursday's BIDL (Bangkok International Darts League) is open to players of all levels with some of Thailand's top darters playing. We usually have at least two weekend tournaments per month hosted by our excellent darts host bars.

If you are in Bangkok - traveling alone or in a group and looking for the local darts scene - contact us. We can set-up anything from a last minute impromptu darts event for any group and we always have darts players in our community willing to come out and meet visiting darts players for some darts and maybe knock back a "few" pints in any of our dart bars.

My intention for this posting is not just to advertise on "double18.com" but to let many of your readers based in UK & Europe who may visit Thailand in your - hmm - less than wonderful winter season - that we not only have an active darts scene but welcome visiting darters. I personally hate nothing more than to enjoy meeting a visiting darts player who says he's just found this great darts bar - but at the end of holiday.

Yeah sure we know, not so much happening in Thailand on the international darts scene - local news - and we have to be more creative. But on the plus side we have one of the most alluring attraction to darts - our monthly newsletter feature "Darter of the Month" featuring some of darts most pleasant distractions at the oche!!!



My "duties" at DT include photographing Darter of the Month (one pic of Augusts' lovely Miss Risa above). We never have a shortage of dedicated darts players willing to sacrifice their valuable time to act as photo coaches to insure that I get things just right - and - offer their personal darts to be used in any shot. Goes to show - darters are really the most giving to a sport - our beloved sport of darts. It's my sincere hope to meet any and all readers of double18.com at the oche here in Bangkok for some great darts and a few pints.
